Both cases are self-isolating at this time.

In total, the provincial public health agency is reporting 22 new confirmed cases in Ontario. Most of them are travel-related but several are listed as ‘close contact.’

On Tuesday, Ontario declared a state of emergency and called for the immediate closure of restaurants, bars, theatres and nightclubs.

They also announced an initial $300 million in emergency funds to go towards adding more beds in Ontario Hospitals and fortifying front-line health-care workers with protective gear.

There are currently 212 confirmed cases in Ontario and one death linked to COVID-19, but it remains to be determined if it was the direct cause of death in that case.
