Two Mississauga men are facing murder charges after a man was stabbed to death in the city’s east end on Friday night (March 25).

Shortly after 8:30 p.m., a man identified by Peel Regional Police as Omar Simpson, 30, of Newmarket, walked into Mississauga Hospital with “obvious signs of trauma.”

Simpson died later that night in hospital.

Investigators quickly learned that an altercation had taken place earlier Friday night near Fieldgate and Sunnyhill Drs., in the area of Dundas St. E. and Dixie Rd.

“During that altercation, it is alleged that the victim was stabbed multiple times,” Peel police said in a news release.

Homicide investigators arrested two men yesterday (March 27).

Donovan Daniels, 27, and Jordan Langlois, 26, both of Mississauga, are charged with second-degree murder.

They made their first appearance in Brampton court earlier today (March 28).

Police are still seeking witnesses or information in Peel’s eighth murder of the year.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 905-453-2121, ext. 3205, or  Peel Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
