Two Mississauga businesses hit with robberies early Tuesday

Peel police’s Central Robbery Unit is busy after two alleged robberies were called in within 23 mins of each other.

At 1:19 a.m. Tuesday (Jan 14), police say they received a call regarding two masked suspects who entered a “commercial premise” in the area of Derry Rd W and Ninth Line.

A knife and handgun were seen, according to police; however, no injuries were reported in relation to the incident.

23 mins later, Peel Regional Police Service received a call regarding a commercial robbery in the area of Hurontario and Bristol Rd in Mississauga by two suspects.

No weapons were reported in the second instance.

Police did not immediately confirm whether the two incidents were related.
