Two men wanted after failed police pursuit from robbed Whitby cell phone store

Durham Region Police are after two unidentified men who evaded a police pursuit after robbing a Whitby cell phone store.

The pair of robbers walked into the Freedom Mobile in Kendalwood Plaza shortly before 4 p.m armed with guns. The pair demanded phones from the store and took one from a customer.

They two then hopped into a waiting silver Hyundai. No one was hurt physically in the robbery.

After police were called officer arrived on scene and began to search the area for the suspects. The officers found the car and the suspects a short distance from the store in a parking lot.

The Hyundai took off and the police followed suit. However due to the dangerous driving of the men in Hyundai, the cops had to break off their pursuit for safety.

Police describe both men as Black wearing all dark clothing.
