Police look for suspects after break-in at Pickering vehicle dealership

Two men are in hospital – one in critical condition – after their vehicle left the road at a “high rate of speed” and ended up in a field in rural Uxbridge Township Wednesday morning.

Durham Police responded to the single vehicle collision at 7:40 a.m. at York-Durham Line and Aurora Road.

Police say the car was travelling east on Aurora Road when it crossed the intersection at York Durham Line, continuing eastbound onto a private road at speed, where it left the roadway into a field.

The 22-year-old driver and his 20-year-old passenger were transported to a Toronto trauma centre. The driver sustained serious but non-life-threatening injuries while the passenger remains in critical condition.

The roadway was closed for several hours while evidence was collected by members of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit. The collision is still under investigation.

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call D/Cst Rayne of the DRPS Collision Investigation Unit at 1-888-579-1520 ext. 5256.
