Two men charged in connection to carjacking that occurred in Mississauga

Two men have been charged in connection to a carjacking that occurred in Mississauga. 

On Friday (May 21), Peel Regional Police (PRP) was called to the area of Pacific Gate and Tomken Road in connection to a carjacking during which the victim was thrown from her car, which was parked in her driveway. 

According to PRP, the suspects then allegedly assaulted the woman before fleeing in the vehicle. The woman was taken to a hospital for assessment with non-life-threatening injuries. 

On Wednesday (May 26), PRP charged 22-year-old Ramanpreet Singh of Brampton, and 29-year-old Harmandeep Singh of Mississauga. 

Harmandeep has been charged with one count of Robbery, and Wear Disguise with Intent, and two counts of Possession of a Controlled Substance.

Ramanpreet has been charged with one count of Robbery and Wear Disguise with Intent. Additionally, Ramanpreet was charged with kidnapping on April 10, 2021.

The investigation is still ongoing, and investigators with the 12 Division Criminal Investigation Bureau are urging anyone with a cellphone, dashcam video, other video footage or other relevant information to contact them at 905-453-2121, extension 4027.
