Two men arrested in knife-point store robbery in Beaverton, Ontario

Two men have been arrested following an alleged armed robbery at a store in Beaverton earlier this week.

On Wednesday (March 27) around 9 p.m. Durham Regional Police responded to a robbery at the Beaverton Superstore located at 286 Mara Rd.

Officers responding to the scene were informed by the complainant that she was robbed at knifepoint, with the suspects making off with a sum of money before the police arrived.

Authorities have not confirmed the amount of money that was stolen from the store.

The investigation was handed over to the Robbery Unit, who successfully identified the responsible suspects.

On Thursday (March 28), 2024, officers arrested one suspect while the Robbery Unit took a second suspect into custody following a search warrant at a home in Beaverton.

Jack Anderson, 22—of no fixed address— is charged with robbery, disguise with intent and possession of a weapon for committing an offence.

Dylin Wagg, 22 —of no fixed address— is charged with robbery, disguise with intent, possession of a weapon for committing an offence and failing to comply with a probation order.

Both men were held for a bail hearing.
