Two men arrested following multi-car crash, carjacking in Mississauga

Two men are in police custody Tuesday morning (March 22) following a multi-car crash that sent a man to hospital and a carjacking in Mississauga.
According to Peel Regional Police, reports of a three-car crash in the area of Mavis and Dundas St. W were called in shortly after midnight.
Police said four men from one of the involved cars got out of the vehicle and carjacked another nearby vehicle to flee the scene.
A driver from one of the other cars involved in the crash was taken to hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
A short time later, the carjacked car was found near Ponytrail Drive and Central Parkway in Mississauga and two men were arrested.
The two other men believed to have been involved remain outstanding and police said the PRP canine unit is assisting with the search.
Mavis and Dundas closed for several hours in the area of the crash but reopened early Tuesday to traffic.
