Two lanes of the QEW to be closed for construction in Mississauga

Expect delays along the QEW as two lanes of the highway close for construction for a few days in the next two weeks.

Two lanes of the westbound QEW may close Monday, July 25, Thursday, July 28,  Tuesday, Aug. 2 and Thursday, Aug. 4. The dates are subject to change.

The nightly closure from Hurontario St. to the Credit River Bridge will run from 11 p.m. to 6 a.m. for the first lane, and midnight to 5 a.m. for the second lane. Ramps will close from 7 p.m. to 5 a.m. Expect traffic disruptions and stay alert for construction zones, project lead EllisDon & Coco JV notes.

The QEW/Credit River Improvements project extends approximately 2.6 km long from west of Hurontario St. to west of Mississauga Rd.

The project will see the construction of a new twin bridge north of the existing Credit River Bridge, rehabilitation of the existing Credit River Bridge, and widening and improvements to the QEW.

The project also includes the replacement of the Mississauga Road overpass, improvements to the Mississauga Road interchange, and active transportation crossings and trails.
