Two Hamilton men face drugs, weapons charges after raid on mountain home

Two Hamilton men are facing drugs and weapons charges after police executed a search warrant at a home on the mountain on Tuesday (Sept. 7).

According to police, members of the Hamilton Police Service Division 3 H.E.A.T. Unit seized a loaded .45 Caliber Norinco handgun, unloaded short-barrelled silver handgun .9mm, 48.09 grams of Cocaine and 2.57 grams of Methamphetamine.

Two men, 22-year-old Dante Allen and 20-year-old Noilandis Perez Del Sol, have been arrested in connection to the investigation.

Allen faces the following charges:

  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Occupant of Motor Vehicle Knowing there was Firearm
  • Prohibited Firearm
  • Carrying Concealed Weapon
  • Possession for Purpose Schedule 1-Cocaine X2

Del Sol faces the following charges:

  • Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Possession for Purpose Schedule 1-Cocaine
  • Possession for Purpose Schedule 1- other drugs
  • Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
  • Fail to Comply with Undertaking

Both of the accused had their bail opposed and are expected to appear in court Wednesday.
