Police are turning to the public for leads after two people were found dead in a Caledon home this week.

Shortly after 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday (May 9), the OPP says officers in Caledon were called to a home on True Blue Cres. Police said the call was for a “sudden death” and told residents to expect a heavy police presence in the area.

Police now say the bodies of two people were found at the scene.

And while the cause of death has not been released, investigators say there is no immediate threat to public safety.

“The investigation is still in its early stages and no further details can be released at this time. Residents of the area should expect to continue to see an increased police presence,” the OPP said in a release.

Despite the reassurance that there is no immediate threat to public safety, police also reminded members of the public “to be aware of their personal safety at all times.”

A photo shared by police from the scene shows a townhouse blocked off with police tape and an OPP cruiser in front of the home.

Police are asking anyone who may have information about the incident or may be able to assist in the investigation to contact the Caledon OPP at 1-888-310-1122. You can also contact Peel CrimeStoppers anonymously at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or www.peelcrimestoppers.ca.
