Two dozen school bus routes cancelled in Clarington, Pickering and Oshawa

A dozen school bus routes in Clarington and ten more in Pickering have been cancelled today, affecting 13 schools as operators still struggle to deal with bus driver shortages.

Stock Transport and First Student made up the bulk of the cancellations, with Century Transport also seeing two routes at a school in Bowmanville cancelled.

Two routes serving Maxwell Heights Secondary in Oshawa – one morning and one afternoon – were also cancelled today (March 24).

Other schools affected included William Dunbar, St. Wilfred, Glengrove and Maple Ridge elementary schools and St. Mary High in Pickering; and St. Stephen and Clarington Central high schools and Charles Bowman, St. Francis of Assisi, Good Shepherd, Hampton Jr and Hobbs Sr elementary schools in Clarington.
