Halton Regional Police are investigating that a theft at an Oakville baseball field may have been the result of a clubhouse door being left open.

Police say someone entered the baseball clubhouse at Cornwall Rd. Park overnight on Tuesday (July 12) or Wednesday (July 13) and stole two defibrillators and a small amount of money.

The defibrillators have an estimated value at $2,000 each.

“No signs of forced entry, so it’s possible (a) door was left unlocked,” said Halton Regional Police Constable Ryan Anderson, who added the police investigation has been unable to confirm if the door was left unlocked.

Police added that no arrests have been made and have no descriptions of the suspect(s).
