A man has been arrested in connection to two carjacking incidents that took place at a Brampton gas station in a span of 20 minutes.

Peel Regional Police say the first victim was approached around 9:30 a.m. on May 14 at the station located at Bramalea Rd. and Bovaird Dr.

As the victim was pumping gas a man got into the car but could not drive away because he didn’t have the keys.

After fleeing the area the same suspect returned 20 minutes later to the location and tricked the next driver into allowing him in the car. Once inside he pushed the owner out of the vehicle and drove off.

A subsequent police investigation has led to the recovery of the vehicle and the arrest of a person in connection with these incidents.

Charged is Gurmeet Singh, 30, of no fixed address who was arrested for theft over $5,000, robbery and wearing a disguise with the intent to commit a crime.
