Two-car crash shuts down Brampton roads, one in hospital

Two cars crashed into each other this evening shutting down a major Brampton road and sending one person to hospitals.

The cars crashed on Steeles Ave by Polonia Ave, a largely residential area with a nearby church. A woman in one of the cars was rushed to hospital. Police have not commented on her condition.

Peel Regional Police have not shared any details about any other people involved. No descriptions or condition information was immediately available.

As a result of the crash the westbound lane of Steeles Ave are shut down until Clementine Dr a block down while police investigate.

Someone called 911 around 9 p.m. and police made the crash public about a half hour later.
