Two car crash sends woman to hospital, chokes major Brampton road

A two-car crash has sent a woman to a trauma centre and choked off a major Brampton road.

The two vehicles crashed at the intersection of Steeles Ave. and Finch Ave. shortly after 4 p.m. on May 29, according to Peel Regional Police. Investigators responded to the scene shortly thereafter. They’ve closed two eastbound lanes on Steeles Ave, slowing traffic from Brampton into Toronto.

A woman in one of the cars was rushed to a local trauma centre. Police have not described the people or the cars involved in the crash. They did not share when they expected to the road to re-open.

Update 8 p.m.: Police confirmed shortly before 8 p.m. that the woman suffered some injuries, but they are not life-threatening. They added the lanes will re-open soon.
