Two Burlington residents facing multiple drug and weapons charges

Two Burlington residents have been arrested following a months-long drug investigation.

During the investigation, Halton police identified a suspect and observed him conducting several drug transactions from his vehicle.

Investigators arrested the suspect at Pearson Airport after he arrived from out of country yesterday, Jan. 18. A female associated with the suspect was also arrested as she was in possession of the suspect vehicle at the time.

A Criminal Code search warrant was executed at a residence on Plains Rd.. As a result of the search warrant, the following items were seized:

  • 345 grams of cocaine
  • Five firearms (legally owned but unlawfully stored)
  • Various ammunition
  • Currency
  • Other items consistent with drug trafficking

A male, 27, and Paige Chettle, 27, both of Burlington, have been charged with possession of cocaine for the purpose of trafficking, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and breach of firearms regulations.

The male, whose name is being protected by a court-ordered publication ban, was held for bail and Chettle was released on an undertaking.
