Two Burlington men facing a list of drug-related charges after month-long sting by Halton cops

Two Burlington men are facing a myriad of charges following a Halton police drug-trafficking investigation.

The month-long investigation was conducted by the force’s District Street Crime Unit.

On Jan. 14, David Gulak, 23, of Burlington was arrested in Brantford by HRPS officers. He has been charged with three counts of trafficking, seven counts of possession and three counts of possessing a dangerous weapon.

A subsequent search of a Burlington residence led to the discovery and seizure of the following:

  • 7.5 grams of fentanyl
  • 1 gram of cocaine
  • 7 Vyvanse pills
  • 450 ml of Codeine
  • 17 hydromorphone pills
  • 11 Buprenorphine
  • 28.7 grams of cutting agent
  • 1 digital scale
  • $530 cash
  • 3 knives

On January 19, 2022, HRPS officers arrested the second suspect identified through the course of the investigation.

Brady Paterson, 24, of Burlington has been charged careless storage of ammunition, possession of a prohibited device, breach of firearms prohibition and possession of a controlled substance.

Both men were released on an undertaking.
