Two men charged after gun seized from Mississauga hotel room

Two men are facing a long list of charges after Peel Regional Police seized a gun and cash from a Mississauga hotel room.
Police said in a press release issued Tuesday (March 8) that officers executed a search warrant last Friday (March 4) at a hotel in the area of Eglinton Ave. and Creekbank Rd.
As a result, officers from the 12 Division Criminal Investigations Bureau seized:
- SAR9 9mm Handgun with laser sight
- 17 round capacity magazine
- Ammunition
- Canadian Currency
Jordan Dennis, a 34-year-old man of no fixed address, is facing the following charges:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
Also charged is Dwayne Wilson, a 39-year-old man from Mississauga:
- Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Knowledge of Unauthorized Possession of a Firearm
- Possession of a Loaded Prohibited or Restricted Firearm
- Careless Storage of a Firearm
- Possession of a Firearm contrary to Order
Both men are being held for a bail hearing and will be attending the Ontario Court of Justice in Brampton on Thursday.
