Two Arrested Following Hit and Run Incident in Mississauga

Two London, Ont. residents are facing charges following a hit and run incident in Mississauga.

Peel police say that on Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018 at approximately 8:13 p.m., two individuals were travelling on the QEW near Cawthra Road when they were reportedly involved in a collision.

Police allege the suspects subsequently fled the scene.

The victim, a 47-year-old man from the City of Welland, was not injured.

Police say a witness contacted police and provided additional information regarding the suspect vehicle.

Police say the vehicle had been reported stolen to London police.

Officers located and stopped the vehicle at 8:23 p.m. on Old Carriage Road, police say. 

Officers arrested 21-year old London man Michael Cooper Dill and 22-year-old London woman Shayla Hanna.

Police allege a total street value of $180 in crystal methamphetamines and paraphilia were seized.

Police say Cooper Dill was charged with fail to remain, possession of property obtained by crime and possession of a controlled substance.

He was released on a promise to appear and is scheduled to appear in court on Nov. 1.
