Two 17-year-olds and two adults charged with robbery with a gun in Mississauga

Peel Police have arrested two youths and two adults in connection to an armed robbery that happened in Mississauga.

On Saturday, Jan. 29, at 2:56 p.m., four suspects attended a business in the Clarkson Rd/Lakeshore Rd area in Mississauga.

It is alleged that one of the suspects remained in the vehicle, while three others approached the business.

Police say one of the suspects was brandishing a handgun and attempted to gain access inside the establishment, but failed in his attempt.

No one sustained physical injuries, and the suspects are believed to have fled the area in a white Elantra that had been stolen somewhere in Peel Region.

Officers who were in the vicinity observed the vehicle in question were able to bring it to a stop.

Police also found a loaded 9-millimeter handgun inside the stolen vehicle, which had ten rounds of ammunition.

All four suspects in question were arrested and several charges were laid including: robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise, possession of property obtained by a crime and failure to comply with release order.

The accused are 20-year-old Taejuan Johnson-Pinnock, 19-year-old Michael Hilaire, and two 17-year-old Brampton youths whose identities are protected under the Youth Criminal Justice Act.

The suspects were held for a bail hearing in Brampton on Sunday, Jan. 29.
