Twenty-two school bus routes cancelled in Ajax, Clarington and Oshawa

The school bus driver shortage in Durham Region is slowly improving with 22 routes cancelled Monday morning in the three communities.

Ajax is the hardest hit with morning and afternoon runs cancelled at Bolton Falby Public, St, Bernadette Catholic, Ajax High School and Pickering High School as well as St. Jude Catholic. All the schools are served by Stock Transport.

There are six routes cancelled in Oshawa this morning, with no school bus service to Walter Harris and Dr. S.J. Phillips schools – served by Century Transport – and Campbell Children’s School (the educational partner of Grandview Kids), which is served by First Student.

First Student has cancelled the a.m. and p.m. routes for Clarington Central/Clarington Intermediate, Charles Bowman Public and St. Francis of Assist Catholic in Clarington.
