Twenty school bus routes cancelled, including eight in Ajax

As the school year moves into its final couple of months bus routes due to driver shortages are still plaguing the system with 20 routes cancelled today in Durham Region, affecting 24 schools.

Ajax was hit the hardest with eight routes cancelled to Michaelle Jean, St. Bernadette, St. Patrick catholic schools and Ajax High School.

There were also four routes cancelled in Pickering and Whitby, including Greenbank and Pine Ridge (Pickering) and All Saints and Sinclair high schools (Whitby).

A morning and afternoon run serving RH Cornish, Good Shepherd and CA Cawker schools in Port Perry was cancelled today (April 17), as were two runs in Clarington serving Duke of Cambridge and St. Joseph elementary schools and Bowmanville High School.
