Bodybuilder, Incredible Hulk and regular guy Lou Ferrigno will be at Icon Autographs in Niagara Falls on August 20.

TV’s Incredible Hulk, Lou Ferrigno himself, will be stopping into a Niagara Falls’ collectables store to smash his way through a health stack of autographs.

Ferrigno will be making a rare public appearance at the Icon Autograph store, owned by Chippewa councillor Chris Dabrowski and business partner James Ponce, on August 20 from 1 pm to 4 pm.

Ferrigno, now well into retirement, is best known for his title role in the CBS TV series, The Incredible Hulk, as well as the man-beast’s voice in subsequent animated and computer-generated incarnations.

The series ran from 1977 to 1982 with Bill Bixby playing scientist David Banner who who transform into the enormous and destructive Hulk if agitated or anger. The series changed Banner’s name from Bruce (in the Marvel comics) to David, simply because they didn’t like the alliteration of Bruce Banner.

Ferrigno was also in the documentary “Pumping Iron,” which made Arnold Schwarzenegger a household name, and played himself in the TV sitcom, King of Queens, and 2009 movie , I Love You, Man.

The store, located at 4056 Dorchester Road, Suite 101, presently has about 1,000 personally-autographed items up for grabs.

Fans can pre-purchase autograph and photo op tickets now at www.iconautographs.com or get them at the event.
