If you’re craving chicken wings in Mississauga, you can soon turn that craving into a good deed and help give back to the community, courtesy of Kraft Heinz Pantry Day and Wild Wing.

On Saturday, October 16, for every purchase of a Wild Wing’s popular Wing Meal (one pound of their classic chicken wings and signature seasoned fries), $10 worth of Kraft Heinz products will be donated to Food Banks Canada.

It’s a new initiative for Kraft Heinz’s yearly Pantry Day event, which is all about combating food insecurity and helping those less fortunate in the community.

“Both Kraft Heinz and Wild Wing are very excited and proud to take this opportunity to give back to those in need in our community. Now we need your support by visiting your local Wild Wing on October 16th,” says the Kraft Heinz team.

“By ordering wings, you’re taking part in one of Canada’s largest food drives.”

Wild Wing is one of the biggest chicken wing and sports bar chains in the country, with 85 Wild Wing restaurants in Ontario and four in Mississauga. Find the location closest to you:

The first Kraft Heinz Pantry Day happened in October 2020, during which the major food company matched grocery purchases of their products with donations to Food Banks Canada. Products included Kraft Peanut Butter, Philadelphia Cream Cheese, Kraft Salad Dressing, Kraft Dinner, Classico Pasta Sauce, Maxwell House Coffee, Heinz by Nature and Heinz Ketchup.

This year, they’re taking it one step further by partnering with several restaurant chains like Wild Wing to provide even more ways to participate.

Food Banks Canada is a national organization supporting a network of Provincial Associations, affiliate food banks, and food agencies that all work together to relieve hunger across the country.

If you’re interested in enjoying some tasty wings and giving back to the community at the same time, make sure to save the date and visit your local Wild Wing on October 16.
