Truck ‘set on fire’ behind Oakville business

Halton Regional Police are investigating after a vehicle was set on fire on a commercial lot on Wednesday (May 17) in Oakville.

Police responded to the incident which occurred on the lot behind an industrial building near the intersection of Speers Rd. and Bronte Rd at approximately 11:30 p.m.

The Chevy Silverado was completely engulfed in flames, before it was extinguished by the Oakville Fire Department.

No one was injured.

“A pickup truck was set on fire,” Halton Regional Police Cst. Ryan Anderson told inhalton.com of the incident police suspect was an act of arson.

Police say no arrests have been made. No subscription of the suspect is available.
