Police have charged a Brampton trucker with careless driving after reportedly running a vehicle off the road near Thunder Bay.

The incident happened around 4:30 p.m. on Friday (July 28) when the OPP received a complaint about a commercial motor vehicle on Hwy 11 near Greenstone, approximately 275 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.

Police say they received a report that the driver was “interfering with oncoming traffic” and ran a vehicle off the road, almost causing a second vehicle to take the ditch.

The incident has police reminding members of the public to report dangerous or impaired drivers. If you suspect that someone is driving while impaired by alcohol or drugs police say to call 9-1-1 if it is safe to do so.
