Truck convoy protest results in temporary closure of 401 on-ramp and delays in Milton

The temporary closure of the eastbound ramp at Highway 401 as a result of the truck convoy protest is causing delays in Milton.
Over 100 pedestrians are in attendance to protest at the Highway 401 overpass in support of the truck convoy, that is currently on its way to Ottawa to protest the federal government’s vaccine mandate for truck drivers entering Canada.
Police say that as a result of the closure, Highway 25 is now congested and slow.
Update. With the closure of the east bound ramp at 401/Hwy25 southbound Hwy25 is now congested and slow. Traffic is moving onto Milton along Steeles. Milton now effected. ^RD #1DRUSgt

Since this morning, police have been advising the public to be alert and prepared for delays.
