Three drivers have been temporarily taken off the road, suspended and charged after police say they were caught driving at “excessive” speeds in Caledon.

The traffic stops happened on Tuesday when the OPP says officers from the Caledon detachment were working speed enforcement near Highway 10 and Charleston Sideroad.

While posted up in the area police say they clocked three drivers going 41, 42 and 60 kilometres over the posted speed limit.

One of the drivers was travelling at 110 kilometres per hour, according to a picture of a radar gun posted by police on social media.

The three drivers were pulled over and police say they were each charged with one stunting charge related to “excessive speed.”

All three of the vehicles involved were impounded for 14 days, and the accused’s driver’s licences were suspended for 30 days.

The accused are all scheduled to make a court appearance at a later date to answer to the charges.
