Trio charged after Hamilton Police seize loaded gun, fentanyl from local home

Two men and a youth are facing a long list of charges after Hamilton Police seized fentanyl and a loaded gun while executing a search warrant this week.
According to a Hamilton Police press release, on Wednesday (Jan. 19) the service’s HEAT UNit, alongside the BEAR unit executed a search warrant at a home in the area of King and Steven streets in central Hamilton.
As a result of the search warrant, police located and seized:
Loaded revolver
8 grams of fentanyl
Three people — two men and a youth — have been arrested as well and are now facing a number of charges.
The first unidentified male suspect is charged with:
- CDSA- 4(1) Fentanyl
- Possession Under Credit Card X2
- Possession Under Identity Document X2
The second adult is charged with:
- CDSA 5(2) Possession for the Purpose Schedule 1
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5000
The youth faces the following charges:
- Unauthorized Possession of Firearm
- CDSA 5(2)-Fentanyl
- Proceeds of Crime Under $5,000
- Prohibited Firearm-Loaded/Unloaded
- Possession Contrary to Order
- Breach Probation Youth-Section 42(2) YCJA
- Disobey Court Order x 2
