Trillium presents organ donation award to Oakville, Milton, Halton Hills hospitals

Hospitals in Oakville, Milton and Halton Hills have been recognized for their work in championing organ and tissue donation.
Halton Healthcare has received a a 2021/2022 Trillium Gift of Life Network (TGLN) Hospital Achievement Award for its outstanding efforts to integrate organ and tissue donation as part of quality end-of-life care.
“We would like to extend an extra special thanks to our healthcare teams for supporting this lifesaving effort,” said Halton Healthcare on Twitter announcing the award. ⠀
The Provincial Conversion Rate Award is presented to hospitals who achieve a conversion rate which exceeds the target of 63 per cent set by Ontario Health (TGLN).
A conversion rate is the percentage of potential organ donors who went on to become actual donors.
