The Ministry of Health, Ontario Hospital Association and the province’s Chief Medical Officer of Health is urging hospitals across the province to refrain from performing any elective and non-emergency surgeries.

Per these instructions, Trillium Health Partners has postponed elective and non-emergency surgeries in an effort to decrease the number of patients in hospitals, and increase the number of healthcare professionals and resources available to combat the spread of COVID-19.

These changes will come into effect Tuesday, March 17, and those with surgeries scheduled between then and April 3, 2020, will be impacted and are in the process of being notified.
