Trent Durham’s Oshawa campus hosting seminar on inclusive story telling in journalism

Trent University Durham is hosting a seminar on Journalism through an Anti-Oppressive Lens Wednesday at the Oshawa campus.
Shireen Ahmed, a sports journalist and CBC senior contributor, will be on hand to discuss inclusive journalism and how to approach storytelling with an anti-oppressive lens. Ahmed is a multi-platform sports journalist, a TEDx speaker, mentor, and an award-winning sports activist who focuses on the intersections of racism and misogyny in sports.
The seminar will be from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. at Trent Durham Building B, Room B107 and is part of Trent’s Black History Month celebrations.
