If you love creative chicken dishes served in a memorable and eclectic setting, you might be happy to hear that Coop Wicked Chicken has officially opened its first Mississauga location.

Coop Wicked Chicken, a growing restaurant chain that pairs a nostalgic 80s and 90s aesthetic with such decadent menu items as deep-fried deviled eggs and fried chicken sandwiches, is now calling the Sussex Centre home.

The brand took to social media to announce the opening last month.

“Mississauga, we bring you chicken!” A recent reel reads.

According to the post, customers who park on-site can have their parking validated by the restaurant.

The growing chicken chain currently operates a number of locations west of the city, with restaurants scattered throughout Burlington, Hamilton and Niagara.

“Coop Wicked Chicken is where punk-rock meets rustic henhouse and where the food is always #tastyascluck,” the brand’s website reads, adding that the “nostalgia-loving restaurant” is open for lunch, dinner and “boozy weekend brunches.”

As far as food goes, the menu features a number of chicken-based dishes, including a “hardcore” pulled chicken poutine, seared, pulled and fried chicken sandwiches, a “dirty bird” taco and more. The resto also offers salads, burgers, chicken fingers, wings, chicken and waffles and more.

The Mississauga location also offers brunch on weekends and holiday Mondays until 3 pm. Menu items include French toast bites, a tater tot poutine, avocado toast, huevos rancheros, a Nashville chicken benny and more.

Diners can also select from a range of cocktails and desserts.
