Update: All lanes had re-opened as of 1 p.m., the Ontario Provincial Police said.
The left lanes had been closed for guide rail repairs.
A 35-year-old driver of truck from Everett, Ont. is charged with careless driving, police said.
In an update just before 1 p.m., the OPP said nine vehicles were involved in the crash. Earlier, police said six vehicles were involved.

A transport truck crashed through a median on Highway 400 in Ontario before colliding with five other vehicles on Thursday morning, police said.
The tractor-trailer was travelling northbound on the highway at Bayfield Street in Barrie when it crashed through the median and ended up in the southbound lanes, OPP said on X.
The large truck then crashed into multiple vehicles in the southbound lanes, police added. OPP said five other vehicles were involved in the crash.

One person was transported to hospital, police said, but there are no reports of serious injuries.
All southbound lanes of Highway 400 were closed as of 7:50 a.m.
Only one northbound lane was open.
