Police have laid charges against a trucker from Brampton after allegedly crashing into two homes outside Thunder Bay last month.

Just before 1:00 a.m. on March 17, the OPP says officers from the Greenstone detachment were called to the scene of a single-vehicle crash on Hwy 11 in Beardmore, about 200 kilometres northeast of Thunder Bay.

Paramedics and firefighters were also called to the scene and when police arrived they found the driver of a tractor-trailer crashed into two residences on Hwy 11.

No one inside the home was injured in the crash, police said, but a 24-year-old has now been charged with one count of Careless Driving.

The accused is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Greenstone on a future date to answer the charges. Police did not release the name or any additional details about the driver.
