GO Bus Oshawa

Back-to-school service adjustments to GO Bus routes in Durham Region begin Saturday as Metrolinx prepares for the new school year.

Service will be returning for GO bus routes that serve post-secondary institutions and new express trips will also begin.

The end-of-summer also means the end of seasonal routes, such as ‘GO Explore’ bus service to Canada’s Wonderland and the Toronto Zoo.

Due to long term roadway construction, the eastbound and westbound stops serving route 90B at Victoria St. E. and South Blair St. in Whitby will be permanently removed. Customers can use the closest existing stops at Whitby GO and Oshawa GO.

Schedule changes of up to ten minutes to better reflect actual travel times and provide better connections will be implemented on routes 41, 56, 71, 88, 92, 94 and 96.

Customers are encouraged to view schedules and plan their trip in advance.

In other Metrolinx news, the road closures near the in-progress new Oshawa Central GO Station will be extended until September 30 for the Albert Street watermain installation.

As well, open pen-cut trenching to tie the new water main into the existing system at Fisher Street and Albany Street began in late August and during the process affected properties on Fisher Street and Albany Street will experience a temporary water shutoff. Property owners impacted by the shutoff will receive notice at least 48 hours in advance.
