Police have laid multiple trafficking charges against a 19-year-old from Brampton after finding suspected fentanyl, cocaine, crystal meth and other drugs during a traffic stop last weekend.

The incident happened around 2:00 p.m. on Sunday (Aug. 13) when the OPP says officers from the James Bay detachment pulled over a vehicle on Moose Dr. in the town of Moosonee, a small town in Northern Ontario north of Timmins.

Officers say they found a variety of suspected drugs worth some $60,000 during the traffic stop, including fentanyl, cocaine and crystal meth.

Three people were arrested including a 19-year-old from Brampton, and police say investigators also recovered multiple cell phones and around $1,000 in cash.

Yonis Gabaire, 19, of Brampton has been charged with multiple trafficking offences and one count of possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.

Jennifer Solomon, 39, and Cathy Wesley, 35, both of Moosonee, were also charged with various drug trafficking offences.

Police said all three of the accused are in custody pending a bail hearing on Wednesday.
