Traffic issues will face Milton drivers this week

Published November 23, 2022 at 4:12 pm

A few activities the rest of this week will affect the way Milton drivers get around town.

Tomorrow (Nov. 24), paving will take place at the intersection of Main St. and Bronte St. as part of ongoing contraction work.

The paving will be restricted to non-peak hours but commuters should expect delays at certain times and alternate routes around the area are suggested.

Then on Saturday (Nov. 26), to accommodate the arrival of Santa Claus and his parade through downtown, traffic will face disruption for a few hours.

During the parade, Main St. W. between Whitmer St. and Bronte St. S. will be closed in the eastbound lanes from noon to 3 p.m., and in the westbound lanes from 1 to 3 p.m.

As well, for the parade, Main St. E will be closed between Bronte St. S. and Drew Centre from 1 to 4 p.m.
