QEW lanes in Mississauga closed nightly
A small part of Mississauga Rd. near the QEW will be reduced to single-lane traffic for the next three days as crews continue work on rehabilitation of the highway bridge over the Credit River.

Officials with the QEW/Credit River Improvement Project overseeing the major undertaking say the impacted area, the intersection of Mississauga Rd. and Mississauga Cres., will be down to one lane of traffic today (Feb. 6) through Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

During those times, drivers in the area can expect delays, particularly on Mississauga Cres. Flagging crews will be at the location to control traffic.

Project leaders note that the work depends on the weather and can be rescheduled at any time.

Temporary nighttime/overnight closures have been commonplace the past several months both on the QEW and on Mississauga Rd. where it connects with the busy highway due to the massive project that began well over a year ago.

More traffic disruptions are anticipated as work proceeds in the coming weeks and months.

Night and weekend work along the 2.6-km stretch of the QEW from Hurontario St. to Mississauga Rd. is expected to impact traffic for the duration of the project.
