The Town of Oakville’s Community Profile publication is getting attention from more than just investors.

The investment attraction publication, which spotlights the benefits of choosing Oakville as a location for business, has won a Marketing Canada Award from the Economic Developers Association of Canada (EDAC).

Launched in February, the new Community Profile – Where Living Works was recognized in the single publication 5+ pages.

“The town is honoured to be recognized with a Marketing Canada Award for our Community Profile publication, which puts a spotlight on our town’s livability and strong economy,” said Oakville Mayor Rob Burton.

“Industry leading companies call Oakville home because together, business and people thrive in our community.”

A continuation of the town’s Where Living Works campaign that was launched in 2021, the Community Profile features key information for businesses to make an investment decision, including demographic data, top industries, and real estate market trends.

The Marketing Canada Awards competition is open to organizations that promote and market Canadian provinces, territories, regions, cities, towns and areas with a view to improving the economic well-being of Canadians.

The EDAC is Canada’s national association of economic development professionals, representing nearly 1,000 members.
