While the second COVID-19 lockdown has brought forth many challenges, there are still some fun virtual ways for Oakville residents to pass the time.

The Town of Oakville is offering a free virtual program called “For the Love of Cooking” with Chef Laura Strath every Wednesday at 7:00 p.m.

The virtual program features live demonstrations on Zoom and the opportunity for participants to ask questions.

Each week, Chef Laura Strath will walk participants through a new recipe. In today’s (Jan. 27) program, Strath will be making green bean, chickpea and spinach curry.

Those who are interested, but are unable to participate in the live program, will have the opportunity to check out tonight’s recipe, as well as Strath’s other recipes from previous weeks which are all featured online.

Over the past few weeks, Strath has made homemade pizza, hot chocolate bombs, leftover pot pie, gluten-free lemon cake and more.
