It’s time to hang up the skates in Oakville on outdoor skating.

The Town of Oakville announced Thursday they have closed outdoor ice rinks for the season.

With spring around the corner and temperatures beginning to heat up, the conditions to allow for outdoor skating rinks are no longer suitable.

Outdoor rinks at Trafalgar Park, Bloomfield Park-West Oak Trails, Clearview Park, Old Abbey Lane Park, George Savage Park, Wallace Park, Sixteen Hollow Park, Nautical Park, Fowley Park, Millbank Park, Langtry Park, Windrush Park, Kinoak Arena Lot, Glenashton Park and Forster Park are now closed for the season.
