The Town of Milton is seeking input from residents on their ideas about how to prioritize services and investments for 2023.

Along with being a reflection of Council’s strategic vision for the Town, the Capital and Operating Budget provides for the investments to be made in the community.

The annual budget process also provides a way to prioritize and balance the allocation of available resources in order to achieve the priorities and deliver services to the community.

As a result, the Town of Milton is seeking input for the coming year and all comments submitted will be considered by Council and staff in the budget process.

So far, residents have shared their input on topics such as the pipeline trail, building a cycling infrastructure, the reduction of public transit bus lines and lowering property taxes for low-income households.

Feedback received before Aug. 19 will also be included in a Budget Call report to Council on Sept. 12, which will seek direction on the proposed 2023 Capital and Operating Budget.

Any feedback received after Aug. 19 will be shared with Council before the deliberation of the 2023 Budget.

Studies and planning exercises undertaken by the Town are developed in line with the overall strategic vision.

These plans and studies form the framework for investment in the community and include several fiscal impact analyses, master plans, condition assessments, the Development Charge Background Study and the Town’s Asset Management Plan.
