The Town of Milton will be investing over $3.7 million this year to design, enhance and build local parks.

This year, a new park development, called Walker Neighbourhood Park, along with the redevelopments of Baldwin Park and Chris Hadfield Park, will all undergo a design process with community engagement for these projects launching this spring.

As part of Milton’s investment in the community, Cobban Neighbourhood Park, Omagh Park and Moorelands Park will also be undergoing a construction process this year.

Additionally, four other parks will undergo several minor upgrades including a community garden expansion, tennis court enhancements, drainage improvements and new in-ground waste containers.

“Investing in neighbourhood parks helps support our vision of being a thriving, green and inclusive community,” said Mayor Gordon Krantz.

“By continuing to develop and improve parks, we are giving residents access to more green spaces, where they can be social, active and connect with nature.”

Milton Council approves park development and redevelopment projects each year through the capital budget, as part of the Town’s long-term planning.
