This year, the Town of Milton will be investing more than $61.7 million in road networks to build a connected community.
Construction season is currently underway and as a result, crews are working to build critical infrastructures such as road reconstruction, lane widening, bike lanes, sidewalk expansion, asphalt improvements, intersection modifications, urbanization and bridge maintenance.
As a result, residents can expect road closures and lane restrictions on both main and arterial roads and side streets.
“Town-led construction is essential work that ensures transportation infrastructure remains safe, in a state of good repair, and able to meet the community’s needs now and in the future,” reads the Town of Milton’s website.
“While construction can be inconvenient, it’s a short-term disruption for long-term benefits.”
The Town of Milton is encouraging residents to plan travel in advance and consider alternate routes during construction. Additionally, they are being advised to follow signage and be patient while travelling in and around construction areas.
This year, we’re excited to be investing over $61.7 million in our road networks.
It is a priority to continue building infrastructure that helps make #MiltonON a complete and connected community.
