The Town of Milton has installed two new all-way stops at Asleton Blvd. and McLaughlin Ave. and Duncan Lane and Athlone Dr.

All-way stops are used to control vehicle right-of-way at an intersection and are not used to control speeds.

Back in February, Milton council discussed the possible implementation of an all-way stop at the intersection of Duncan Ln. at Athlone Dr.

According to the council report, this conversation came as a result of the Traffic Engineering section having received several inquiries over the past few years requesting that an all-way stop be installed at that intersection.

“Be prepared to come to a full stop at these intersections,” said the Town of Milton on Twitter about the new all-way stop.

“The first vehicle to arrive at the intersection has the right-of-way.”
