Town of Milton hosting information session for upcoming municipal election

The Town of Milton will be hosting an information session for the upcoming municipal election.
Both registered candidates and individuals interested in running in the upcoming municipal election are being encouraged to register for a virtual information session.
The information session, which will take place on Aug. 8, 2022, at 6:30 p.m., is designed for anyone considering the position of Mayor, Regional or Local Councillor or English or French School Board Trustee.
It will provide an overview of campaign finance rules, legislative requirements, voting methods and the election sign bylaw as well as presentations by a representative of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing and Town staff.
Additionally, there will be a Q&A session where participants will be able to ask questions.
Registration for the virtual information session may be done online or by email.
The deadline to file a nomination is Aug. 19, 2022, at 2:00 p.m.
