The Town of Milton is encouraging residents to prioritize their mental health during these times of uncertainty.

This week, the Ontario government announced several new restrictions such as reduced capacities and shutdowns as a result of an uptick in cases of COVID-19.

“As we all continue to navigate these trying times, it’s important to prioritize our mental health,” said the Town of Milton on Twitter, reminding residents about Halton Region’s online resources.

Throughout the pandemic, Halton Region has posted various tips and has provided resources to help the community take care of their wellbeing.

“COVID-19 is affecting the lives of Halton residents in many different ways. It is normal to feel stress and concern. Remember to take care of your mental health, just as you would take care of your physical health,” says Halton Region’s website.

Halton Region’s website provides several tips on exercising, journaling, staying informed, making social connections and more, in order to prioritize mental health.

It also provides information and resources for those who may be struggling.

“Let’s be kind to ourselves and others,” said the Town of Milton on Twitter.
