The Town of Milton recently announced the temporary closure of the Mattamy National Cycling Centre.

According to the Town, the closure is a result of an ongoing power outage.

“We apologize for any inconvenience and appreciate your understanding. As new information becomes available, we’ll update accordingly,” said the Town on Twitter.

The Mattamy National Cycling Centre, located at  2015 Pan Am Blvd., is owned and operated by the Town of Milton and was constructed for the 2015 Pan American/Parapan American Games held in Toronto.

The centre is the only velodrome of its kind in Canada and only the second in North America that meets top international standards. It is also a premiere indoor cycling facility that offers programs to all levels of athletes.

Additionally, it serves as both a community recreation facility and a venue for provincial, national and international events.
